Project Planning Course

Course Overview

This course teaches delegates the principles and techniques for effective project planning. Delegates learn project planning techniques that will enable them to plan projects effectively and identify key management issues that impact project success, including the importance of teamwork and conflict resolution. It emphasises the importance of the planning process and the benefits that could be gained for Project Managers. Although Microsoft Project is used for the hands-on section of this course, delegates should be able to use the techniques and concepts learnt on this course with any toolset.


Course Duration

The course duration is one (1) day - 9.00am to 5.00pm.

45 minute lunch break and ten minute breaks at regular intervals.

Target Audience

This course is suitable for those who are currently managing projects and wish to improve their skills, those who are team members on projects, as well as those who may wish to run projects in the future. It is also suitable as information for Senior Management to understand how the project information is gathered and to interpret the information for decision making.



Some use of Microsoft Project or similar.


Software and Hardware Requirements

Delegates will be expected to provide their own hardware with Microsoft Project installed.


Course Fee

$150 per person per day (minimum of 8 persons and maximum of 10 persons per course).

For example, if only five persons attend the course the fee charged will still be for eight persons.


Consultations and discussions with the client to define requirements, customisation and tailoring of the courses are free of charge provided the courses go ahead. If the company decides not to go ahead once the courses have been customised and tailored to meet their requirements, there will be a cost of $500 charged to the company.


Fees do NOT include 10% GST.


Terms and Conditions

Substitutions can be made at any time. There is no penalty charged for course cancellations provided that at least ten working days notice is given prior to the scheduled course start date. Participants who have not given notice of cancellation at least ten working days prior to the course are subject to the entire course fee. Trident Business Solutions reserves the right to change the format of the courses at its discretion.
